I have this blog (draft) about my recent trip to Palawan.
my OOTD hasn't been updated in a while..

so summary nalang ng mga nangyari mula nung last post ko... ano ba ang mga pinagkaabalahan ko at nawalan ako ng time magblog?

-- relocation. Actually lumipat ako ng flat, 1 bedroom lang pero okay naman.. medyo hanggang ngayon di pa kami tapos maglipat at mag-ayos. Kamusta naman diba!? Di ko nga alam paanong di pa rin tapos ang paglilipat at pag-aayos ko hanggang ngayon samantalang yung inuupahan ko dati ay kwarto lang.. parang bag lang ni Hermione.. all of a sudden, ang dami kong gamit????

--travel. Oh ayan so in the middle of the "relocation", nagawa ko pang sumaglit sa Palawan nung Semana Santa, 9 days din akong di malocate ng GPS sa Macau. Masaya! Ang detalye nasa isa kong blog. Fresh pa naman sa memory ko ang mga pangyayari, doon ko nalang ikukwento. :P

--work. Sus! Eto na, eh di sa sobrang tagal kong nawala... tambak ang trabaho ko pagbalik.. wala na ngang time huminga.. etchos lang!!

--birthday. Oo, tulad ng mga normal na tao, nagsi-celebrate din ako ng araw na unang masilayan ng Nanay ko ang repleksyon ng kanyang kagandahan.. *walang kokontra!*.. so party party with friends, with family, with special someone.. Details...sa ibang blog nalang siguro.. :P di naman siya super espesyal pero may gusto lang ako ibahagi tungkol sa birthdays.. kaya gagawan ko siya ng sariling post. oha!

--job opportunity. Aba! hanggang dun lang. may nag offer kase saakin ng mas magandang opportunity in terms of career and syempre sa sahod. Ang loyalty ko naman talaga ay sa "pera" kaya nga ako nandito.. pero yun.. mukhang malabo na dahil sa work permit issues.. pero kahit ganun, nabawasan parin ang youth sa mukha ko. Masaya naman na sana ako sa kilalagyan ko, kaso nung tumawag yung kumpanyang yun, naisip ko tuloy bat ako nagsesettle kung may chance at potential naman ako umangat.. kaya ayan.. nastress ako slight.. :P

--business. At my age, gusto ko nang magset up ng ibang income kaya puspusan ang ginagawa kong paraan to make ends meet kung saan ko pwede ilaan ang aking pinagpagurang sahod bukod sa pagkain.. medyo kapos kaya medyo stress ng konti sa kakawenta.. pero at the end of the day, masaya naman kung nakikita mong may pinatutunguhan ang pinaghirapan mo diba? Juggler lang ang peg! :)

--home sweet home. Sana bago matapos ang April ay maayos na ang flat (which is impossible). Kaya bukas todo ligpit na talaga ako at super ayos na ng house.. nang makapagrelax na at makapagmove on! hhehehe..

so ayan.. yung mga detalye.. iboblog ko nalang sa susunod.. di kase ako makapagwork ng maayos or makapagsulat pag magulo ang paligid ko or pag may iniisip akong mga bagay bagay na dapat tapusin muna or something..

Macau F&B - Portal Wine Bar

Sa mga nagbabalak or mga gustong dumalaw ng Macau at sa mga nandito na kapareho din ng trip ko which is lumamon.. ^_^ Let me point you to the right direction.. charot! 

Saan ba masarap at swak sa budget kumain, uminom, or mag-buffet? Try ko halughugin ang Macau, Taipa, Cotai at Coloane.. Tara samahan niyo me!! :)

5 reasons why Portal Wine Bar is Awesome!

after work, not everyone rushes home to rest. Many of us look for exciting places to chill out and unwind before we hit the sack. I've been to this place more than a couple times and I can only say good things about it! Apart from the friendly smiles, hugs, kisses and hospitality of the staff, here are 5 reasons why Portal Wine Bar for me is just awesome!!!  :)

1. The Location. 

It is located in the streets of Old Taipa near Casas Museu da Taipa  (Houses Museum in Taipa), settling along the main street lighted by old european style street lamps. Taking a lazy walk here is like walking in a "sepia" filtered instagram photo. It is plain nostalgic. 

If you will be coming from the Rotunda side, you will notice that they do not have those flashy bar signs that attracts even a fish's attention. It says "PORTAL", as simple as that. No bright lights. No spot lights. So pay attention or you might think that it really doesn't exist. :) But if you are coming from Old Taipa, you will see a more welcoming sign that is obviously shouting that "Yup! This is your stop! Come in!".

2. The Setting. 

What I love about this place is that It is cozy, warm and friendly. It is not your typical bar where the music is too loud, the lighting is too dim, and everyone is shouting at each other. They also have a place for everyone. You can sit at the bar if you are alone and just wanna wash out the negative energies that you accumulated throughout the day with alcohol. You can bring a date for dinner and after dinner and after after dinner..^_^ . You can also bring your friends to chill or dine because they also have a place for groups. Isn't that amazing? :) The place is big enough too so even if there is a group celebrating a birthday on the other side and there is a couple being cozy in the other corner, they wouldn't get to each other's bubble. There is just a place and space for everyone here.

*Smoking is allowed inside the bar but you wouldn't get a hint that it is allowed cos it never smelled like a smoking area as far as i can remember. Also, some customers prefer to smoke outside even if the they are provided with ashtrays inside. :)* 

3. The Food and Spirits.

Though it is a wine bar, I rarely come here for the wine. I haven't even tried any wine here i think (I probably just don't remember - if you know what I mean). But if you are a wine lover, you might be excited to know that they offer at least 200 labels! But what keeps me coming back here every time are the awesome "eggs Benedict" I have ever tasted in Macau so far. It is indeed a quick fix to my annoying cravings. Yes! you read that right! They serve eggs Benedict and bacon and other breakfast meals at 9pm. Awesome right!? They also have other mouth watering treats on their new menu which they boasted last night when I went there (oops!). I tried the "chicken quesadilla" and I was not disappointed. I am now convinced that my toned abs will never happen. ^_^. They also have pizza, burgers and snacks to go along with the wide variety of cocktails, drinks and booze. So if you are bored with nuts and chips, or you are dragged along by your peers but you only drink juice or hot water, then this is the place to be.

 4. The Surprises!

Portal wine bar hosts many activities and events, from Zumba classes to dance auditions. They also have mini concerts, acoustic nights and videoke nights. My friends here also told me they have brazilian and salsa nights too. They also do private parties and exclusive gatherings. So do not be surprised if sometimes, they will not be able to accommodate walk-in guests (if they have been reserved). They announce schedules for such events and activities from time to time but I don't keep track. ^_^ What's nice is that, since they have different things to offer and if you are not familiar with their schedules, you will never really know what to expect when you get there. One time we went there on a Monday. What do you expect on a Monday? People (usually) don't go to bars on Monday.. but we did! We turned on the mic, turned up the music, played "karaoke" videos on youtube and poof! We sang our hearts out like we payed for the entire bar. ^_^ A few hours later, some couples came to dine, we switched to singing romantic songs... instantly, we became lounge singers. :) We are just not sure if ever those guests will come back after hearing our soulful voices :P.

5.  The Bill.

For me, this seals how awesome this place is. They give you the ambiance that you need for you feel relaxed. They provide you the booze to give you the kind of high you need. They even satisfy your gluttony. But but but!!! They do not ask for your entire paycheck! :) They do not even have a service charge yet they give you the best Filipino customer service without expecting any tip. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't tip at all!!! :) 100 Mop will go a long way here. Eggs Benedict can fill you up for 35 Mop which you can even share (if you are not to selfish like me). Drinks can start from as low as 10 Mop (for coffee added to all day breakfast meal). They have buy 1 take 1 on drinks during happy hours until 8pm~ 9pm-ish. They will give you free mixed nuts to munch too. And If you are lucky, you will even get a chance to see a mini concert or be entertained by a live band (acoustic or not) or dance along other guests just having fun! ^_^. Whether you are on a budget or on a splurge, there is a place for you here.


So ayan, di ako bayad para gawin to ah! But of course, since trip ko naman kumain at gumala at the same time, why not isama ko kayo diba? Basta enjoy pag dumalaw kayo dun...

SAKSAK SINAGOL

Okay! Alam ko itatanong mo...

Saksak in Tagalog is saksak.. hehehe "to insert something into something". Hooray to my definition! Pero alam ko naintindihan mo naman eh! Well, in Cebuano, di ko sure kung pareho lang ba ng meaning sa aming mga bisaya yan. (Sana walang magtanong kung ano ang kaibahan ng Bisaya at Cebuano.. taweweng.. kailangan ko i-explain pa yan sa isang post pag nagkataon...) Sa amin kase this means "to insert something into something" din. Pero ang "saksak" ng Tagalog ay "luba" sa Bisaya.. so what does "saksak" mean in Bisaya kung pareho sila ng meaning in English? To cut it short, it's like "shuffling" cards. You know the kind that you insert cards in a deck in a random order. You get the point, that's important! :) Sinagol from the root word SAGOL which is HALO in Tagalog and MIX in English. Therefore, "Saksak Sinagol" is just an exaggerated expression of "halo halo" in Tagalog and "Mixed" in English. "RANDOM SUPER MIXED STUFF" sounds exaggerated enough for me. That's probably what it meant! :) Pwede din "Mishmash" , a mixture of unrelated things. Pero duh, boring diba? Di masyadong intense ang English version.. hehehe.. :)

Syet! Isang buong paragraph ang nasulat ko para lang i-explain kung ano ang "saksak sinagol".

Gusto ko lang naman sabihin na eto ang magiging tema ng blog na ito. Random stuff.. ^_^

Masyado kaseng maraming pwede gawin sa buhay na pwede isulat at ikwento at i-share eh.. kaya ayoko makulong sa iisang topic o tema lang. :) See the world where I move. Masaya dito. Magulo. Masalimuot.

Mabuhay! 

Matagal ko nang gusto magblog pero ewan, tamad lang talaga siguro ako magmaintain ng mga ganitong bagay. Sa pagkakataong ito, sisikapin ko na panindigan tong blog na to! ^_^ Simulan na natin noh?

Itago niyo nalang ako sa pangalang "Maria". Mid-20s at nagtatrabaho na. Nabigyan ako ng pagkakataon na makapag-aral sa isang sikat na kolehiyo sa Maynila. Medyo nahiyang ako dun kaya tumambay muna ng mga ilang taon. Marahil ay ikukwento ko in depth ang aking college life sa ibang entry. :) Anyway, bata palang ako mahilig na akong magsulat, pero madalas ay in English. Hindi ko na nga mabilang kung ilang notebook na ang naubos ko. Lumaki ako sa mga lolo't lola ko, at syempre, marami akong pinagdadaanan nung kabataan na hindi nila naiintindihan. Kaya naman lahat idinaan ko sa pagsusulat. Minsan pa nga ipinapasa ko sa school paper ang mga poems at short stories na naisusulat ko na hango sa mga totoong pangyayari. Pero syempre para mysterious ang dating, gumamit ako ng mga pseudonyms. Ayun, okay naman ang feedback. 

Boom na boom ang blogging noong nasa college ako, syempre naki-uso din.. pero sa sobrang busy, ayon napabayaan na. Ni hindi ko na nga maalala kung ano ang username at password ko.. ang malala pa, di ko pa maalala anong blog site yun. So eto na.. start ulet ako sa mundo ng blogging.. :) Pero this time medyo iba na.. Gusto kong isulat nalang kung ano ang naiisip ko. Yung raw. Unedited. Kung ano ang nasa isip ko, yun ang isusulat ko. Tulad ng dati.. yun nga lang less hassle at stress na para di na ako mababaliw sa kakatanong kung ano nga ba ang English ng mga salitang tulad ng "nagtatampo" o "naaalibadbaran". Kung di naman ay kung ano naman sa Filipino ang salitang "stress" o "hassle". 

Sabihan man ng mga negastar dyan na "jologs" or "parang walang pinag-aralan". Well, blog ko to! Gawa kang sarili mo! ^_^ peace!!! All I am saying is. Gusto ko lang ng freedom sa pagsusulat. Yung tipong di ka nakakulong sa boundaries ng "right" at "wrong". Yung di mo muna masyadong iisipin ang grammar at sentence construction. May post na tambay lang.. may post na seryoso.. may in English, Cebuano, Filipino, Chiniese (kung matututo ako).. depende lang sa mood.
